The available documentation allows to conclude that the year of 1885 was the founding Year of the KROCHMALNIA( Starch Works) in Bronisław Between 1885 and 1886 thejoint-stock enterprise called "KROCHMALNIA, FABRYKA CUKRU I SYROPUBRONISŁAW" (STARCH WORKS. SUGAR AND SYRUP FACTORY -BRONISŁAW) begins its operation. The initial production capacity equaled 80-100 tonsOf potatoes per day. The year 1920 is a significant one in the history of the company as it was decided to join the Koncern Ziemniaczany LUBOŃ-WRONKA (LUBOŃ-WRONKA Potato Concern).
The breakout of the Second World War did not interrupt the operation of the starch works. After the war, the company became nationalized and by July 1945, came under authority of the Zjednoczenie Przemysłu Ziemniaczanego (Joint Potato Industry) in Poznań. The gradual modernization allowed to achieve the production capacity at the level of 400 tons of potatoes per day allowing an annual production of starch in the amount of 7.000 tons.
The high quality of the production and the whiteness of the starch caused KROCHMALNIA BRONISŁAW to be a known exporter of starch. In 1970, the central authorities have decided on thee merging of two neighbouring starch works in Bronisław and Trzemeszno. The 80s was a time of a dynamic expansion of the market of starch packed for retail sale thanks to the German HESSER packing machine installed in Bronisław.
With January 1, 1991 an independent Przedsiębiorstwo Przemysłu Ziemniaczanego (Potato Industry Enterprise) was established in Bronisław. The crew along with strategic investors (producers and seed-potato distributors) established a limited liability company under the name of Przedsiębiorstwo Przemysłu Ziemniaczanego BRONISŁAW, and in 2002 was allowed to take out on lease Przedsiębiorstwo Państwowe PPZ BRONISŁAW (National Company PPZ BRONISŁĄW).
